If you have ever had a nice shiny car in near perfect condition and worried that someone is going to park next to you and jam their car door into your car's bodywork then this is for you!
Coverzone have now developed a side protection buffer system that they can install in your new cover prior to despatch. This clever option permanently fixes a strip of high impact buffer pads along the side of the car in the door and side panel area where they are most vulnerable to door dings and scuffs.

The buffer pads are permanently fitted to the cover with double stitching and whilst they do not absolutely guarantee that your car will remain in pristine condition, they will provide much more protection in all those visible areas that are both costly and difficult to repair.
Once we receive the order for your new cover with side protection system we will take a stock cover and our skilled machinists will add the option to the inner lining on both sides. The cover will be a little bulkier when folded but the pads cleverly concertina closed when not in use so handling and storage of the cover is still a breeze.

Summer is the perfect time for road trips, days out and soaking up the sun, but it can also be tough on your car. Heat, UV rays and dry conditions can all take a toll on your vehicle if you're not careful. To keep your car running smoothly and looking great through the warmer months, here are our top tips for summer car care.

Summer is the perfect time for road trips, days out and soaking up the sun, but it can also be tough on your car. Heat, UV rays and dry conditions can all take a toll on your vehicle if you're not careful. To keep your car running smoothly and looking great through the warmer months, here are our top tips for summer car care.

1. Check and Top Up Fluids

High temperatures can put extra stress on your engine and cooling system. Make sure to check:

●      Engine oil: Ensure it’s at the right level and consider an oil change if it’s due.
●      Coolant: This prevents your engine from overheating.
●      Brake fluid and power steering fluid: These are crucial for safe driving in hot conditions.
●      Windshield washer fluid: Bugs and dust can build up quickly on your windscreen in the summer.
 

2. Test Your Air Conditioning

A working air conditioning system is a must in the heat. If it's not blowing as cold as it should, it might need recharging or servicing. Don’t wait until you’re stuck in traffic on a hot day to find out it’s not working!

3. Protect Your Paintwork

Sunlight and UV rays can fade and damage your car’s paint. Regular washing and waxing help maintain the finish, while a high-quality car cover protects your vehicle when it’s parked outside.

4. Inspect Your Tyres

Heat causes tyre pressure to increase, which can lead to over-inflation and uneven wear. Check tyre pressure regularly and inspect for cracks or wear. Don’t forget to check the spare!

5. Keep It Clean Inside and Out

Dust and pollen accumulate fast in summer, so keep your car clean both inside and out. Vacuum interiors, wipe down surfaces and clean windows for better visibility.

6. Battery Health

Extreme heat can shorten battery life. Make sure your battery is securely mounted, clean and free of corrosion. If it’s more than a few years old, consider getting it tested.

7. Park Smart

Whenever possible, park in shaded areas or use a sunshade to protect your dashboard and interior from cracking and fading.
