If you have other drivers parking near your covered car you may also consider....

Coverzone's Unique Side Protection System.

If you have ever had a nice shiny car in near perfect condition and worried that someone is going to park next to you and jam their car door into your car's bodywork then this is for you!
Coverzone have now developed a side protection buffer system that they can install in your new cover prior to despatch. This clever option permanently fixes a strip of high impact buffer pads along the side of the car in the door and side panel area where they are most vulnerable to door dings and scuffs.

The buffer pads are permanently fitted to the cover with double stitching and whilst they do not absolutely guarantee that your car will remain in pristine condition, they will provide much more protection in all those visible areas that are both costly and difficult to repair.
Once we receive the order for your new cover with side protection system we will take a stock cover and our skilled machinists will add the option to the inner lining on both sides. The cover will be a little bulkier when folded but the pads cleverly concertina closed when not in use so handling and storage of the cover is still a breeze.

The leaves have fallen and the darkness has eaten into our days, winter is officially upon us. Your car is safely tucked up on the driveway under its waterproof fitted cover so all is well… or is it? One morning you peel back the cover only to find moisture under the cover! You run back inside to check the description of the cover that you bought last spring. It says it’s waterproof, what went wrong? During those heavy summer downpours, it was great, not a drop of water touched your car. It didn’t even rain last night, how has this happened?

The leaves have fallen and darkness has eaten into our days, winter is officially upon us.

Fear not, the moisture is due to your waterproof cover being just that, waterproof. What your car cover needs, in addition to waterproofing, is breathability. Otherwise, on these damp winter nights and heavy dewy mornings, this moisture will build up to become condensation. Coverzone’s Stormforce and Apollo covers consist of multi-layer construction, providing both waterproofing and breathability. The membrane, sandwiched in the middle of the cover, is perforated with micropores so small that condensation can evaporate away from the underside of the cover, but water droplets on top cannot pass through.

Coverzone manufactures covers in both breathable and non-breathable fabrics. If you are planning to tuck your car away over winter and don't have the luxury of a garage, one of our Monsoon covers fitted to a dry, clean car is the next best protection that you can find. Our Monsoon range of outdoor covers are designed for vehicles that are left outside for long periods. These heavy-duty outdoor covers feature a soft inner lining that’s kind to paintwork & a non-breathable heavy PVC shell that has heat-sealed double stitching. These covers cleverly mirror the temperature of the car ensuring that all moisture, dew and frost stays on the outer skin keeping your treasured car dry.

If you happen to find heavy condensation under your non-breathable cover on one of these dewy mornings, remove the cover & thoroughly dry it. Re-apply the cover & ensure that the underbody straps are loose allowing the cover to move in the breeze. The cover should not be fitted tight to your vehicle like a second skin as this will reduce airflow over the paintwork & prevent the drying of the condensation.

Lastly, here is a tip to test your current cover for waterproofing, rather than letting a particularly heavy rainfall discover for you, you can conduct a simple test:

  • Position an egg cup or small bowl under the cover.
  • Make a small divot in the fabric & pour in a couple of tablespoons of water until there is a noticeable amount in the divot, or about the size of the measuring bowl you are choosing to use.
  • Leave for 4-6 hours.
  • Upon returning, the egg cup or bowl should be dry, showing that no water has passed through the cover if it is indeed waterproof.

If water is in your egg cup or bowl, contact your cover manufacturer for advice.
